The Genetic Information Non-Discrimination Act (GINA) is proposed legislation that would prevent discrimination in health insurance and employment based on the results of genetic testing.  It would allow non-symptomatic individuals to obtain testing without worry about the repercussions of a positive result on their health coverage and employment status. The bill has been introduced in the 108^th, 109^th, and now the 110^th Congress.
